Researches on meta-cognition in the field of language learning are fruitful. Fr om such angles and perspectives as language learning, reading comprehension, wri ting, listening, translation, vocabulary study, a review is made on both empiric al and experimental studies in the mentioned areas. Achievements and weakness in this research field are observed and a few questions are presented for further exploration.
