Abstract�� Accounting for the pre-corrosion influence on the fatigue life, the st atistical analysis of acceleration corrosion factor for accelerated aging test to service or natural exposure environment on fatigue critical components was performed. Ass uming the pre-corrosion fatigue life follows the two-parameter Weibull distrib ut ion, and the relationship between the characteristic life and the pre-corrosion time can be expressed as an exponential model, the equations for acceleration corrosion fa ctor were established. The acceleration corrosion factor was proved to be a constant regardl ess of reliability degree and pre-corrosion time. The approximate distribution o f the acceleration corrosion factor estimate was gained, so the confidence intervals of the acceleration corrosion factor for LY12CZ aluminum alloys specimen were obtained.
