国外通识教育人文课程及培养机制研究

Study on Humanities Courses and Training Mechanism from the Prospective of General Education for Undergraduates in Foreign Universities

  • 摘要: 加快健全并完善中国高校通识教育人文课程体系及培养机制是新形势下社会综合类人才发展的迫切需求,也是高校尤其是理工类院校人才通识教育培养过程中无法回避的重要问题。通过重点考察颇具通识教育特色的世界名校,探讨国外尤其同类著名高校本科生通识教育人文课程及培养机制的发展情状,提出中国高校应学习并借鉴其成功经验,尽快改变当前重专业技术、轻综合知识的观念,加大通识教育课程比重,增加人文类师资投入,建立科学、有效、合理的通识教育人文课程体系与培养机制,从而培养出符合当今社会发展需要的综合类人才。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, some world famous universities with characteristics on general educationareselected. On this basis, the paper discusses and exploresthe development of humanities courses and training mechanism in general education for undergraduates in these foreign universities. The author thinks that Chinese universities can learn from their successful experience. The paper suggests thatthe view that professional expertise is more important than comprehensive knowledge should be changed and that the proportion of general education courses and the number of humanities teachers should be increased. It also suggests that a scientific, effective and reasonable humanities courses and training mechanism in general education beestablished so as to turn out more qualified and comprehensively-developed talents.
