Abstract: The multi-dimensional application of data technology in urban space has become an inevitable trend. In the governance practice, data technology, as a new governance tool, not only increases the vitality of urban governance, but also makes urban governance face many potential challenges, such as the marginalization of the subject, the risk of the object, the digitalization of the intermediary and the complexity of the environment. Based on the position of "the city is the people's city", we should adhere to the principle of the return of urban spatial subjectivity, build a scientific and efficient urban governance mechanism, deepen the rational use of data governance and standardize the ethical purpose of technological governance, and serve the realization of good urban governance with the scientific use of data technology to promote the modernization of urban governance.
