Abstract:
MTI education developed rapidly in China in recent years. In the curriculum designed by the China National Committee for MTI Education, Computer Aided Translation (CAT) is suggested as an elective course. Based on the observation and teaching experience of the author, the paper proposes some new ideas for the teaching of CAT: students of MA who learn translation also need CAT, basic CAT concepts should be emphasized, and project management skills should be included in the course of translation techniques.
Key words: teaching of CAT, Computer Aided Translation, course development, MTI, MA
