中国农民工工资议价能力测度——基于工作搜寻与工资离散视角

Measure on Bargaining Power of Chinese Migrant Workers: From the Perspective of Job Searching and Wage Dispersion

  • 摘要: 中国农民工的工作参与和市场地位一直是备受关注的话题。以个体工作搜寻角度切入,利用2013年和2014年两期"城镇外来务工人员就业和食品需求"调研数据,通过扩展传统工资决定方程并借助双边随机前沿分析方法分解出农民工与雇主的议价能力。结果表明:总体来看,农民工的议价能力强于企业,但仍存在一部分个体的议价剩余被企业压低,这是劳动力市场供求和制度共同作用的结果;从性别角度看,女性参与的议价过程并不存在严重的性别歧视;服务业的农民工议价净剩余高于建筑业和制造业,但稳定性较低;市民化意愿高的务工人员在议价过程中具备更高的议价能力。

     

    Abstract: Collective bargaining plays an important role in resource allocation process in China's labor market. This article applied 2Tier-SFA method to measure the bargaining power between migrant workers and firms based on the data from"migrant worker employment and food demand survey". An empirical application shows that migrant workers are paid more than expected productivity, although there exist a part of workers with low power.There is no serious gender wage discrimination in wage bargaining process. Moreover, migrant workers have more but unstable net bargaining surplus in services, and are paid more with urbanization desire.
