Abstract:
Currently, there is still imbalance in internal demand in China 's economic structure. Blindly promoting the expansion of domestic demand may lead to import growth to "curb" domestic production supply, which is not conducive to benign growth of the economy. This paper expounded the impact mechanism of informatization on external dependence and promotion of domestic demand via the relationship between informatization, import and economic endogenous growth, and then empirically tested the effect. The results show that information technology played a positive role in promoting the "match" of domestic supply and demand, and then restraining import dependence, but the related Research and Development (R & D) activities had not shown its due effect. The relevant conclusions were still robust after overcoming the endogenous bias. Further research showed that the innovation promotion from information technology in China still incurs from obvious external dependence and the current level of information and R & D foundation was not enough to support the innovation demands of endogenous economic growth and reduce the negative effect of import dependence. There is still need to actively break all kinds of "barriers", so as to avoid being suppressed by the "dimension reduction", and to strengthen the correlation between information technology R & D and the enhancement of international competitiveness, and actively expand the external space for survival and development.
