Abstract: At the present stage, the development of human space endeavors has brought about the realistic need for international space traffic management, and the major space-faring states or groups of states such as the United States, Europe and Russia have all seen this realistic need and put forward their own policies and propositions. However, the international community is still divided on the essential contents of space traffic management, including the dispute over the dominance of the construction of space traffic management mechanism, the disagreement on the way of implementation, and the concern of military security, etc. There are deep political, economic and military reasons behind these dilemmas. As an emerging space power, China is committed to making contributions to the peaceful development of human space endeavors. To further promote the development of human space endeavors, China needs to uphold the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind, adhere to the global governance vision that emphasizes extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and lead the international community to gradually form a safe, well-organized and sustainable international space traffic management order.
