Abstract:
The Metaverse, supported by the Internet, digitization, simulation and other technologies, has formed a reality-like space by coupling virtuality with reality, and its emergence has attracted much attention and discussion. Compared with traditional virtual space, the Metaverse has the characteristics of immersion in deep immersive experience, decentralization of co-creation and co-governance environment, slow delay in real-time interaction, and fusion of virtuality and reality in dialogue across time and space. As a future trend, the Metaverse will inevitably have a great impact on education, such as promoting the efficiency of educational resources, conscious learning will of students, scientific evaluation of educational effects, and high-quality professional training of talents. Meanwhile, as a new thing, the risks brought by the Metaverse cannot be underestimated, such as technological risks, political risks, capital risks, health risks, cultural risks, etc. That means, as a new thing, the educational Metaverse is bound to be questioned and criticized before it is accepted by the public. However, this cannot hinder its development. Therefore, we need to maintain an optimistic attitude towards it. That is, we neither blindly popularize it, nor indifferently watch it or deliberately criticize and deny it.
