Abstract: The “Three Musts” is the ideological call and political mobilization issued by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core to the whole Party based on the new era orientation, new development stage and new central task. From the perspective of theoretical logic, it is the internal requirement for the Marxist political party to preserve its advanced nature and integrity. From the angle of history, it is the experience and enlightenment of the socialist movement in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe and the Communist Party of China’s endeavors over the past century. In terms of realistic demands, it is the key to preventing and resolving risks and challenges on the new journey in the new era. As an organic whole with its specific structure and function, which is composed of a number of interrelated and interdependent elements, “Three Musts” not only has a relative focus on ideology, but also shows a deep inter-construction of different practical meanings, containing rich connotations and strict logical relations. To implement the “Three Musts” on the new journey in the new era, we must make systematic plans and pursue them in a coordinated way. In addition, we must take the consolidation of the belief foundation as the basis, the improvement of the institutional norms as the guarantee and the optimization of political ecology as the support, so that the “Three Musts” can truly become the political consciousness, the ideological will and the guide to action of all Party officials.
