Abstract:
The emphasis and discussion on “integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China’s specific realities and fine traditional culture” (i.e., the “Two Integrations”) in the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China reflect that at the critical period of national rejuvenation, the Communist Party of China is more determined and confident on the Chinese road, and looks forward to the bright prospect of civilizational rejuvenation with more confidence by standing on the civilizational ground. From the perspective of civilization of national rejuvenation, advancing civilizational rejuvenation is an important context for putting forward the proposition of “integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with fine traditional Chinese culture”. This proposition stems from the high cultural awareness of the Communist Party of China, depicts the proper appearance of the cultural achievements formed by the integration of the two, and embodies the people-centered value orientation.
