Abstract: Xi Jinping Thought on Culture carries rich ideological connotations, and is an important component of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. From a theoretical perspective, it originates from Marxist cultural theory, is rooted in the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and draws on and selectively absorbs the advanced civilizations of foreign countries. From a historical perspective, it has undergone profound accumulation during the periods of revolution, construction and reform, and continues to explore and innovate in the new era. From a practical perspective, it embodies Xi Jinping’s scientific practice approach developed through decades of experience. In the new era, he has kept pace with the times, carrying out theoretical innovations on cultural self-confidence, strong cultral nation, “the two integrations” (integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China’s realities and fine traditional culture), and civilization exchange and mutual learning. He has further clarified the people-centered cultural development position in the practice of socialist cultural construction, built the cultural foundation of a new form of human civilization, promoted the development process of constantly transforming a cultural powerhouse into a strong cultural nation, and solidified the values of the Chinese nation’s sense of community.
