Abstract:
Xi Jinping Thought on Culture is not only the product of cultural practice, but also the result of theoretical innovation. Its content is comprehensive and profound, underpinned by the scientific thinking methodology embodying materialist dialectics. This methodology consists of six parts: the strategic thinking of taking a far-sighted view of the overall situation, the dialectical thinking of dialectical unity and comprehensive balance, the systematic thinking of overall coordination and cohesion, the bottom-line thinking of preventing problems before they arise by taking the initiative, the historical thinking of carrying forward traditional development while making progress toward the future, and the innovative thinking of adapting to circumstances and promoting progress through new ideas. These six thinking methods reflect the holistic, scientific, systematic, proactive, developmental and open nature of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture. Studying the thinking methodology of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture is of great significance to correctly understand the essence of this thought, become more determined in cultural self-confidence under its guidance, and promote the innovation of China’s ideological and cultural theories and the improvement of cultural practice in the new era.
