玩劳动创造价值吗?基于平台用户的视角

Does Playlabor Create Value?From the Perspective of Platform Users

  • 摘要: “玩劳动”是在平台资本主导下以“产消形式”生产数据商品的一种数字劳动。区别于传统劳动和其他类型的数字劳动,它突出了“玩”的娱乐性质;区别于传统的休闲活动,它突出了“劳动”的生产性质。根据平台用户不同的休闲动机,可以将“玩劳动”分为闲逛式的参与、出于兴趣的探索和专业性的互动等三种类型。这三种类型的“玩劳动”分别创造出了“用户意识”“探索性数据”“专业性数据”等三种数据产品。与一般劳动创造的商品相同,平台用户“玩劳动”创造的数据产品也具有价值属性。在价值创造过程中,用户被平台资本纳入资本积累的逻辑内,促进了平台资本的价值增值,体现了“玩劳动”乃至平台资本的生产性特征。

     

    Abstract: “Playlabor” is a kind of digital labor that produces data commodities in the form of “production and consumption” under the domination of platform capital. It differs from traditional labor and other types of digital labor in that it highlights the entertainment nature of “play”; It differs from traditional leisure activities in that it stresses the productive nature of “labor”. Based on the different leisure motivations of platform users, “playlabor” can be divided into three types: leisure participation, exploration out of interest and professional interaction. These three types of “playlabor” can create three types of data products: “user awareness data” “exploratory data”, and “professional data” respectively. Like the commodities created by general labor, data products created by the “playlabor” of platform users also have value attributes. In the process of value creation, users are included in the logic of capital accumulation by platform capital, which promotes the value proliferation of platform capital and reflects the productive characteristics of “playlabor” and even platform capital.
