Abstract:
Promoting Party and government conduct through family traditions is a significant innovative measure of the governance of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the new era. Logically, incorporating family traditions as an important part of Party and government conduct stems from the political philosophy of family-state-world rooted in Chinese civilization, the CPC's historical experience in improving Party and government conduct, and an accurate understanding of the causes behind current problems in the conduct. In terms of the internal mechanism, the family traditions of Party cadres are closely related to and embody the working style of the Party and government. Through value guidance, moral norms, emotional support, and cultural edification, the family traditions can continuously provide nourishment and deep roots for Party and government conduct, and then help improve the conduct over time. The innovative measure of promoting Party and government conduct through family traditions in the new era integrates family governance into the overall layout of Party governance and national governance. This measure addresses the issue of power supervision through peripheral aspects of power operation and consciously integrates family ethics into Party regulations, thereby extending the frontline of the anti-corruption effort to the family sphere. This measure also achieves multiple innovations, serving as an exemplar of the CPC's application of governance principles, systemic thinking, and dialectical reasoning in strengthening Party governance.
