摘要: 由于英汉语言和文化的差异,在翻译过程中会存在不可译现象,补偿是解决不可译现象的有效手段。文章从对不可译现象的分析入手,将不可译分为语音音韵的不可译、形态的不可译、语意的不可译和文化的不可译,并结合权威学者对补偿的分类和大量实例,详细分析了补偿针对各种不可译现象的具体应用。

Abstract: Due to linguistic and cultural distinction between English and Chinese , there exists intranslatability, to which compensation is an effective solution . This paper clarifies intranslatability as phonetic and phonologic intranslatab ility, morphologic intranslatability, semantic intranslatability and cultural in translatability. With a study on compensation and many examples, it analyzes con crete application of compensation in respective intranslatability.
