Abstract: A number of domestic and foreign researches indicate that IT industry is one of the lines exposed to great stress nowadays. While the rapid development of IT industry brings into being knowledge-based economy and information s ociety, IT employees are working under growing stress. Drawing on many domestic and foreign theories and based on the data obtained through questionnaires, thi s article makes ananalysis of the nature, origin and characteristics of IT emplo yees- stress with the help of SPSS software. Moreover, some proposals are put forward for coping with working stress.
