摘要: 简单介绍特殊用途英语(English for Specific Purposes)理论在中国的发展与实践,从应用语言学的角度分析确立航空英语专业的可行性和必要性。依托ESP理论,阐述了航空英语的定义、范围,以及它和陆空通话英语的涵盖关系。设计航空英语的教学大纲,探求航空英语教学的方法。

Abstract: The paper introduces readers to ESP (English for Specific Purposes) th eory and possible placement of Aviation English in the Chinese context. It gives the definition of Aviation English and interprets the relationship between ESP and General English, Aviation English and Radiotelephony English. Curriculum is designed and methodology explored.
