摘要: "化境"是翻译的最高标准、理想境界,要求在语言上无牵强生硬之感,又能保存原作的风味。张培基先生的《匆匆》英译本,语言地道自然,如行云流水,感情丰富,溢于字里行间,再现了原文的语言特色和思想感情,而不露斧凿痕迹,堪称"化境"翻译的一个范本,值得后辈学习借鉴。

Abstract: Sublimation is the highest standard of translation which requires that a translation reproduce the distinctive flavor of the original text in pure target language. Professor Zhang's English version of Zhu Ziqing's essay "Transient Days", reproducing the linguistic characteristics and sentiments of the original text in idiomatic English, is a typical example of translation that has reached the state of sublimation and worth studying for younger generations.
