Abstract: Fromthe ultimate task of the higher education, the paper puts forward the viewpoint of educating the Chinese college students withthe combinationof science and humanity education, points out the important place held by The Analects andthe benevolence cultureof the Chinese nation, and introduces , using The Analects as an example , the basic approaches to read books : reading should be integral, focal , thoroughly understanding and practical to the reality .
