Investigation Report on the Subject-based English Teaching and Bilingual Teaching of Beihang University

摘要: 为使北航外语教学改革在更深层次上展开,有效地提高学生外语应用能力,教务处和理学院进行了双语教学的试点。通过对两个问卷调查结果的分析,回顾了北航在专业英语课方面的经验,并对此次双语教学试点在课程性质、教材、教学运行、教学效果等方面进行了归纳总结。最后,针对北航的现状提出了一些建议,为今后的双语课更大范围地展开做些铺垫。Abstract: To reinforce the foreign language teaching reform of Beihang University, and improve the students' communicative ability effectively, the Teaching Administration Office and the School of Science joined to start an experimental class in bilingual teaching. This paper first looks back on the past bilingual teaching, and then analyzes the investigation results of the two questionnaires in the following aspects: the nature of the course, textbooks, teaching management, and the effects of the teaching. In the end, the author puts forward some suggestions regarding the status quo of the foreign language teaching in the University in order to pave the way for future bilingual teaching on a larger scale.
