Intellectuals' Morality of Knowledge and Their Reverence to Career

摘要: 对待知识的道德态度是一个民族文化性格的组成部分,提出知识的道德这一概念有助于在关涉知识的社会行为领域建立起更加明晰的规范。文章讨论了概念的内涵及其与道德基本法则的渊源关系,在此基础上,进一步论证了社会,特别是职业知识分子对于知识的创造、传播和应用所应承担的道德责任。

Abstract: The morality of knowledge is the component part of a nation's cultural dispositi on. Raising the concept of intellectuals' morality of knowledge can contribute t o the establishment of a clearer norm in social behavior relevant to knowledge. In this article, the authors discuss the connotation of intellectuals' morality of knowledge and its original relationship with the basic rules of morality. On the basis of these ideas, the authors point out the moral responsibilities commi tted by society, especially to be undertaken by the professional intellectuals i n the creation, transmission and application of knowledge.
