Abstract:
Competency modeling is an exploratory effort to link competencies with performan ce and objectives of organizations. Many practitioners and students are delibera ting on the best solution, however the findings are mixed. The main reason is th e lack of common methodology coping with subtle relationship between components of competencies and individual performance. We consider that how to measure the importance of competencies plays a key role in competency modeling. Therefore an innovative competency methodology that focuses on how these distinct competenci es interact is introduced. While analyzing the mechanism of competencies interac tion, we propose that competencies interrelation exist actually and disturb fair ness. Empirical experiment presents that nonadditive measure/fuzzy measure is a good tool to deal with interaction between multicriteria in competency model ing.
