The Cognitive Study on "N1+N2" Modifier-head Constructions and the Related Ambiguities

  • 摘要: 对Wisniewiski的二元处理概念合成理论进行了介绍并运用,分析了"N1+N2"偏正式结构的认知机制,阐释了关系联结和特征映射处理机制是作用于该结构概念重新整合的重要机制。同时,进一步地从概念合成的角度阐释了汉语"N1+N2"偏正结构的相关歧义理解产生的原因。
    Abstract: Based on the dual process theory of conceptual combination, the paper studied the cognitive mechanisms of noun1-noun2 modifier-head constructions. We pointed out that both relation linking and property mapping play important roles in the conceptions integration. Furthermore, the paper explained ambiguities in the related noun1-noun2 modifier-head constructions in terms of conceptual combination.
