Abstract: The paper is a review of corpus-driven research on co-occurrence of lexical sequences from different perspectives: units of meaning, semantic sequences, grammar patterns and lexical bundles. Although sharing the corpus-driven approach, the analyses are distinct in that lexical sequences are approached with different intentions and in that the relationship is explored either between lexis and meaning or lexis and grammar, or lexis and discourse functions among registers.
