Abstract: Recently, plagiarism has become more frequent in higher education institutions. Academic misconducts are becoming more common and have led to a series of grave consequences, challenging the foundations of the academic world. In higher education institutions, considering the lack of effective monitoring mechanism and specific punitive measures, and by using Academic Misconduct Literature Check System, some measures on reconstructing academic ethics are proposed so as to prevent plagiarism and to improve the mechanism of enforcing an academic code of ethics.
