Abstract: Ideological and political education integrated with artificial intelligence is an inevitable trend for the innovative development of ideological and political education. On the one hand, the deep integration between ideological and political education and artificial intelligence promotes the accuracy and diversification of ideological and political education, and improves the effectiveness of ideological and political education. On the other hand, with the enhancement of technology and the intervention of instrumental rational thinking, there are different risks in ideological and political education. By analyzing the causes of ethical risks of ideological and political education integrated with artificial intelligence, the paper finds that the human-like attributes of artificial intelligence are continuously strengthened; the autonomy of algorithms results in uncertainty; and the risk perception and external guarantees of ideological and political education are limited. All these factors lead to the inevitable “presence” of ethical risks. To avoid the ethical risks, we should dominate technology by morality and keep the position of ideological and political education, move people with emotion and build a flexible empathy and resonance mechanism, adhere to the bottom line of the law and clarify “what can be done” with artificial intelligence.
