摘要: 小句可以联结成复句和句群,正是后二者为小句提供了语义由小到大的拓展空间,小句对全译理解具有顾后作用,顾后作用主要表现为对复句和句群的照顾与考虑。即小句理解要顾及下文或后文中比它大的语言单位,即复句和句群,包括小句推进复句的理解、小句理解受控于复句、小句延展句群的理解和小句理解受制于句群。

Abstract: Clauses can be combined into complete sentences and sentence groups. It is the l atter two that enable the clause to have room of meaning expansion. The understa nding of clause depends on that of subsequent complex sentence and sentence grou p in complete translation, including: 1) clause can improve the understanding of complex sentence or vice versa, and 2) clause can expand the understanding of s entence group or vice versa.
