Abstract: Western Marxist aesthetics analyze literature and art on basis of social economy . Walter Benjamin put forward the theory of art mode of production. Terry Eaglet on pointed out the theory of literary mode of production, claiming that art is r eproduction of the ideology. Pierre Macherey held that by means of the gap betwe en art and ideology we could see the reality. It is of great significance to stu dy the theory of literary mode of production.
