Abstract: The Intercollegiate Teaching Community along Xue Yuan Road (College Ro ad, Beijing) has been practicing the system of offering optional courses by the community and the system of mutual credit recognition among universities. The co operation of this type among universities nearby has promoted mutual benefit of intercollegiate disciplinary construction and the sharing of teaching resources, contributing to the expansion of students' academic extent and a comprehensive improvement of quality education.
