Abstract: The analysis of language features of the daily discourse and the poeti c discourse in novels by Fang Fang reveals that the familiarization of the daily discourse and the defamiliarization of the poetic discourse are two important t echniques in expression of the world , which are not absolutely contradictory, a nd their contradiction and conversion enriches the language of the novels.
