人文学科的跨学科教育模式——对美国高校的考察分析

The Humanities’ Interdisciplinary Model in American Universities

  • 摘要: 通过对美国高校的人文类课程资源考察发现,跨学科教育覆盖本科和研究生阶段,主要表现为单一课程模式和项目课程体系模式;其跨学科性主要反映在课程内容的多学科设计和课程体系的跨学科建设上;把不同学科围绕同一个学术领域的课程资源统一起来,形成了以项目核心课程为主导、其他课程交叉环绕的跨学科教育模式。这一模式符合人文学科的多元发展视角和学科共通性,在文科综合和文理交融方面都有成功的实践。

     

    Abstract: An investigation of the Humanity courses shows: interdisciplinary course and curriculum system are the two typical interdisciplinary teaching models at both undergraduate and graduate levels in American universities. This feature is greatly reflected in the course content design and/or system planning; Relevant courses around a certain academic field are combined together from multi-disciplines, forming an interdisciplinary model with core and periphery courses. This model, in line with the multi-perspective and common-ground features of the Humanities, offers successful practice in the synthetical studies in liberal arts and science.
