Integration of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into Teaching of "Outline of Modern Chinese History" Course: Achievements, Problems and Deepening Paths

  • As one of the courses of ideological and political theory, the teaching of "outline of modern Chinese history" course should be combined with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Though the integration of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into the teaching of "outline of modern Chinese history" course has made significant achievements, there still are problems, such as the unsatisfactory theoretical level of some teachers, the lack of wholeness and systematism in content integration and the lack of care for contemporary college students in teaching design. To improve the effect of the integration of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into the teaching of "outline of modern Chinese history" course, it is necessary to take multiple measures of improving teachers' theoretical level, and establish a set of perfect evaluation mechanism; it is necessary to implement top-level design and construct the course teaching integration system with clear boundaries and cohesive contents; it is also necessary to establish the teaching mode of "double main body" between teachers and students and let students learn with enthusiasm and initiative.
