Integrated Development of Ideological and Political Curriculum and Curriculum-based Ideological and Political Education: Historical Inheritance and Experience of Beihang University in the New Era

The tradition of "imparting knowledge and educating people" has been the "red gene" of all-member and all-curriculum education at Beihang University since it was founded in 1952. Since the new era, Beihang University has thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches, closely focused on its objectives in talent cultivation and its features of university governance, and greatly carried forward the spirit of "serving the country in aeronautics and astronautics". In addition, it has successfully realized the coordinated education of ideological and political curriculum and curriculum-based ideological and political education through the integrated development at five levels: leadership organization, education concept, academic research, teaching content, and teaching staff.
