Abstract
Urban-rural integrated development is an important institutional arrangement for constructing a new type of urban-rural relationship and promoting common wealth in the new era. Taking into account the current situation of urban-rural integrated development in Henan Province, the study constructs a synergistic symbiosis theoretical model and indicator system based on the synergistic governance theory and symbiosis theory, and adopts the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method and the NCA requisite conditions analysis method to explore the requisite conditions and grouping conditions for the urban-rural integrated development to promote the common wealth. The study finds that: the level of regional industrial development is an important condition for urban-rural integrated development to promote common prosperity; four types of paths play a role in the process of urban-rural integrated development to promote common prosperity, namely, the 'symbiotic environment' strengthening type, the 'urban-rural complementary' deepening type, Four types of paths play a role in the process of promoting common prosperity, namely, the 'symbiotic environment' strengthening type, the 'urban-rural complementary' deepening type, the 'industrial and agricultural mutual promotion' optimising type, and the 'hardware guarantee' actualisation type; the urban-rural integration environment, main body and process interact with each other and play a synergistic role in achieving the goal of common prosperity. Localities should base themselves on actual conditions, take advantage of their strengths and complement their weaknesses, and create a practical model of urban-rural integration and development for common prosperity with local characteristics.
