Reflections on Improving Our Overall Quality of Doctoral Programs ——Inspirations from the Ten Doctorial Dissertations that Won National Prize

Based on the survey of 10 sheets of national excellent doctorial dissertations o f Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, this paper analyzes the fa ctors of their success from the aspect of discipline construction, supervisors, research projects, quality of postgraduates, and academic atmosphere. Some sugge stions are made in order to improve the level of doctoral dissertations and the overall quality of doctoral programs.
