The Clausal Function in Understanding Complex Sentence and Sentence Group of Source Text

  • Clauses can be combined into complete sentences and sentence groups. It is the l atter two that enable the clause to have room of meaning expansion. The understa nding of clause depends on that of subsequent complex sentence and sentence grou p in complete translation, including: 1) clause can improve the understanding of complex sentence or vice versa, and 2) clause can expand the understanding of s entence group or vice versa.
