  • Liberalism is regarded as against the autocratically monarchical powe r in its early appearance in which Spinoza,Locke are the early representatives of that thought. Although their realization of the political meaning of liberty is not unique, their illustration can still give us deep insights into the meani ngs of liberty. The author argues that analysis of Hobbes' liberty to explore it s original meaning has initiating significance to help our understanding.
