Trends of Domestic Legislations on Outer-space Activities and China's Choice

  • The legislation on activities in outer-space has four different styles. Firstly , complete and general legislation on the fundamental rules of outer-space acti vities; secondly, special legislation on administrative agencies or organs speci alizing in outer-space activities; thirdly, legislation on specific matters rel ating to outer-space activities, and fourthly, domestic legislation adopted for the purpose of executing international legal obligations. Administration, autho rization, registration, protection, responsibility and promotion are the six ele ments of domestic legislation on outer-space activities. China should adopt a c omplete and unified law on the regulation of outer-space activities, and clarif y principal rules governing outer-space activities.
