On the Relationship between Higher Education Expansion and Short-term Economic Growth ——A Probe into the Policy-making of Chinese Higher Education Expansion

The article analyses the relationship between higher education expansion and sho rt-term economic growth from the following three aspects: rate of return of hig her education investment, output multiplier of higher education and the conseque nces of rapid expansion of higher education, and then points out the problems th at arise in the process of higher education expansion and sets out some proposed ways of coping with them.
