New Development of the Quality Assurance Mechanism in Higher Education in Germany

  • Some reform measures are being taken in higher education in Germany recently with the aim of raising the standards of higher education and preparing the higher education for international competition. The paper reviews and analyses the original quality assurance mechanism in higher education in Germany, introduces two main reform actions in the current quality assurance mechanism, and then makes a summary of its characters.
