Transition of Communicative Approach in English Teaching Classrooms

  • The further development of the reform and opening to the outside world, and the China's entrance into WTO require college students to have better listening and speaking abilities. However, the adoption of the communicative teaching approach, which has been approved effective in cultivating listening and speaking abilities, still meet difficulties in English teaching classrooms in China. Based on the present situation, the authors put forward a plan for the transition period of communicative approach in English teaching classrooms with the hope that it will be helpful to the current English classroom planning.
