  • To some degree , we can say transcendence is the most abstruse implication of western tragedies and the essence of western tragic spirit . Therefore , investigating clearly the meaning of transcendence is helpful for grasping completelythe westerntragic spirit . In this paper , we seriously analyze the core meaning of transcendence and briefly reviewits manifestationinthe westerntragic history .
