Retrospect in the Year of Jia Shen: the Cognitive Process for CCP to Transform Its Role from Power Control to Service for the People

  • This essay summarizes the cognitive process in which the leading collectivities of CCP of all generations have stayed away from the feudal idea of reign, as wa s discussed by Guo Mo-ruo in his article: The 300th Anniversary of the Jiashen Year. Historically, Mao Ze-dong realized the importance that people should be the master in the political life of China; Deng Xiao-ping brought up "three pr inciples of advantageousness to the people" to outline CCP's pursuit in values; Jiang Ze-min put forward his creative theory of three representations; and Hu Jin-tao, following the guidance of the 3 representations, gives priority to e conomic development and the Party's constructions so as to better serve the peop le.
