Abstract
The research is a one-year task-based approach training on the basis of meta- cognitive strategy experimented by 38 English-major sophomores in Archeng Colle ge, Harbin normal university. Data results show this training strengthens stude nts' meta-cognitive consciousness; and it not only improves the student's writi ng abilities, but their English language.
