Abstract
The Eternal feminine figures are associated with the Sophia theory popular in Russia during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Soloviev developed Sophia as one theory and poured religious imagination into the eternal feminine subject. Merejkovski carried on this tradition and displayed the eternal feminine idea. He thought the theme has both the divine nature and the phenomenon essence. It is the fusion link of these two parts—Beauty of the human body and Beauty of the spirit, both appearing in the real world. It reflects the writer-s praising for the Holy Spirit and the hope for the idea of love and beauty that can save the world.
