The Eternal feminine figures are associated with the Sophia theory popular in Russia during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Soloviev developed Sophia as one theory and poured religious imagination into the eternal feminine subject. Merejkovski carried on this tradition and displayed the eternal feminine idea.
