The Cognitive Study on "N1+N2" Modifier-head Constructions and the Related Ambiguities
Based on the dual process theory of conceptual combination, the paper studied the cognitive mechanisms of noun1-noun2 modifier-head constructions. We pointed out that both relation linking and property mapping play important roles in the conceptions integration. Furthermore, the paper explained ambiguities in the related noun1-noun2 modifier-head constructions in terms of conceptual combination.
