Cultural Differences between Universities of China and of America Reflected by Website Information

The website size, content and forms of universities show the information transparency consciousness, service consciousness and academic-based consciousness in school management. By probing into the websites of top 20 universities of China and the West in Spanish Webometrics Ranking, this paper compares the relative statistical data which depict the gap between Chinese universities and their American counterparts to reflect the cultural differences. And lastly, the paper concludes that the different circumstances result in the difference in sharing awareness, management and service function.
