By establishing the evaluation index system of the affecting factors to food prices, and using the principal component analysis to study the affecting factors to food prices in the year 2001-2009, three principal components are obtained. According to the principal components, the paper calculated and sorted composite score for each year's food prices, and found that food price shows a change in the form of wavy line in the nine years.
