An Endless Song:the Analysis of the Narrative Voices in The Hundred Secret Senses

  • Based on the feminist narrative theories of American narratologist SuSan Sniader Lanser, the thesis attempts to make a meaningful exploration on the writing techniques of Amy Tan's long novel The Hundred Secret Senses. It is intended to analyze the dual narrative voices and their impacts in order to understand the building of feminist authority, the acknowledgement and establishment of Asian American women's cultural identities and the awareness of feminism in patriarchal society, aiming at understanding her special writing style and strategies and providing a new perspective to the study of Amy Tan's novels.
